The Zesty is a real rider’s bike. It’ll make any trip to the trail a pleasure, whether you’re on the flat or in the mountains. From the get-go, we felt immediately at home on the saddle, and it is testament to the Zesty 314’s character that we rode the slimy, greasy trails flat out, feet up, lock to lock, on less than perfect tyres and loved every minute.

All that and it climbs neutrally and, if coaxed, quite quickly. With a bit more air in the shocks it will gallop along flatter tracks in search of more extreme adventure.

Lapierre has made, in the Zesty, the kind of bike that makes you feel like a better rider than you are. That’s a great attribute for any bike.

Spodnji se je na istih straneh pojavil leto kasneje. V zvezi z istim modelom, le leto mlajšim, zelencem.

The Zesty isn’t a new bike, but it has quietly crept onto the hot list since UK distributors Hotlines gave it the outlet it deserves. Its performance in this test certainly put it on the map.

The Zesty has the looks and detailing of a super-bling thoroughbred and the performance to match. It descends and attacks technical trails with astonishing aggression, conﬁdence and poise, but will smoke the legs off anyone heading back up to the top, too.

Expectations, benchmarks and fellow test riders were left way behind as we blitzed through our well-worn test trails at genuinely eye-watering speeds. It’s an easy, effortless speed machine in every situation.

Pri kolesu Lapierre Zesty 314, letnika 2010, super-bling ostaja del serijske opreme. Zagotovo v detajlih (velja za vsa kolesa iz konjušnice Lapierre) in prepričani smo, da tudi pri voznih lastnostih. Ugibamo: ocena voznih lastnosti bo letos boljša (so lahko vozne lastnosti bolje ocenjene?), saj je najnovejši Zesty krajši in odzivnejši.

Vrnimo se k bling detajlom, ki Zestija bogato ločujejo od konkurence in ga ustvarjajo hudo posebnega.

Hidraformacija (nizka teža, visoka moč) in francoski design sta zaščitni znak okvirjev Lapierre. Večini sta všečna (1. fotografija).
Nihajni sistem OST je papirnati štiriležajec, v praksi pa spada med sisteme z navideznim vrtiščem (2. fotografija). O njegovih voznih kvalitetah dovolj povesta zgornja članka.
Karbonski odjemalec prahu in ostale umazanije je koristen detajl, ki skrbi za dolgoročno brezhibno delovanje zadnjega menjalnika (3. fotografija).
Tudi SAG Indicator oblikuje privlačno malenkost. Jasno in glasno opozarja kako enostavno je nastaviti primeren negativni hod (4. fotografija).
Bovdni pletenic so pri Zestijih elegantno speljani ob ceveh. Fiksirani so z one-of-a-kind podložkami. Slednje so izdelane na CNC-strojih in obarvane v ujemajoče bling barve posameznega okvirja (5. fotografija). Na tej fotki je mogoče opaziti tudi gumirano, samoplepljivo zaščito na spodnji cevi. Gre za upgrade, ki serijsko prihaja s kolesi Lapierre.
Eye-to-eye dolžina zadnjega blažilca šteje zelo veliko in Lapierrjevci to dobro vedo. Zesty ima odlično razmerje med hodom blažilca in hodom na zadnji osi, zato nihajka odzivno sledi neravninam (6. fotografija).
