Eight wonders oz. Zesty 314

Eight wonders je naslov teksta, ki je nastal po testu osmih all mountain koles. Čudeže so vozili in ocenjevali na angleških terenih, zapis pa najdemo v aprilski številki revije What Mountain Bike (št. 94, strani 56-70).
Konkurenca? Ugledna: Bionicon Edison 30.8, Scott Genius 50, Giant Trance X2, Marin Mount Vision, Specialized Stumpjumper Elite, Trek Fuel EX8, Commencal Meta 5.5 XT (unikatna Metka, ustvarjena samo za angleški trg) in Lapierre Zesty 314.
Omeniti je treba, da niti en bicikel ni dobil slabše ocene od sedmice (deset pik je najvišji možni dosežek, a tudi tega si po mnenju kolesarjev novinarjev ni zaslužil noben izdelek). Fantje so se potrudili in zbrali visoko cenjene bicikle, zato rezultat ne preseneča.
Najbolj je presenetil Zesty. Ne nas, mi smo z njim povezani že več kot leto, temveč novinarje. V angleškem jeziku se zaključek testa 314-ke sliši takole:
Undoubtedly the surprise of the test, the Zesty has the looks ad detailing of a super bling thoroughbred and the performance to match. It descents and attacks tecnical trails with astonishing aggression, confidence and poise, but will smoke the legs off anyone heading back up to the top, too.
Obscenely fast, fun and chaos-capable. Affordable all mountain just got a new benchmark.
Zesty je dobil najvišjo oceno, se pravi 9. Izkazal se je kot najbolj vsestranski model, med tiste, ki so blesteli med spusti, pa so Angleži dodali tudi Commencalovo Meto. V zvezi z Metko povsem na koncu testa, v sklepni besedi, piše:
Finally, there is the Zesty. It not so much edges the other bikes here out of contention, as gives them a lesson in how fun an all-mountain bike can be. It'd happily half-wheel the Specialized on every climb without any need for lockout or lung replacement, yet it'd carve metres out of Commencal and minutes ot the others on descents.
