The first thing that strikes me always about bikes, is of course it looks, here we have the Lapierre DH 920, a French designed downhill bike which isn’t of the typical elk. With Lapierre having a little input from the likes of multiple world champion Nico Vouilloz, it was probably quite hard not to produce something of this vision.

Prav ti so ganili Jona Becketta:

With the classic bicycle double diamond frame look of bikes gone by, a few doubters amongst us will no doubt harp on about looks/design being similar to Sunday’s and Glory’s but the truth is none of them looked this good.

The frame itself is a work of pure genius, the designer rides bikes and rides downhill…he has to, to have come up with some of the neat design features which make this frame tick quite a few boxes.

Starting from the integrated bump stops on the frames down tube, to the integrated cable routing through the left hand bump stop, to the integrated bottom bracket system designed for this bike, the E13 LG-1 boomerang which has been machined out, trick. Then there are all the little details, like the colour of the pivot points, mech hanger and seat clamp are anodised to match the standard spec saint groupset.

Anglež si navdušenje nad modelom DH 920 deli s številnimi ljudmi z Otoka (pred novim letom je premik v tej smeri nakazala revija Dirt).
