#1 'Long Play'

Novinarji gorskokolesarske revije Mountain Bike Rider so se v letošnji poletni številki posvetili long-play modelom. Izbrali so konkretno četico dolgohodnih zverinic, se z njimi zapodili v zahtevne traile angleškega Walesa, na koncu pa so kolesa ocenili.

Kunkurenca je bila huda. Pod podvozjem fantov z bogatimi izkušnjami so se zvrstili bicikli: GT Sanction 1.0, Marin Attack Trail, Specialized Enduro SL Pro, Trek Remedy 9 in Lapierre Spicy 516.

..."if you could only have one bike to do the widest possible variety of riding the Spicy would be our first choice", je na račun 516-ke zapisano na strani 126. Spicy je dobil najvišjo oceno in sicer 9. Kolesa ostalih znamk so bila ocenjena z 8 (Spec, Trek in Marin) in 7 (GT).

Strani 118 in 119 sta v celoti namenjeni opisu francoske leteče mašine (v originalnem tekstu: .."What we love about the Spicy 516 is that it isn't just another long travel trail bike - it's sub 30lb flying machine"..).

Verdict?

What sets Lapierre 516 apart from the other bikes on test is that the geometry makes you feel super confident, and you never have to second guess how the bike is going to behave. It's long, low slung and designed for going fast, very fast, and that's exactly what 160mm bikes should be for. It's no slouch on the ups either, making it the perfect choice for events like the Megavalanche. In fact, the Spicy pretty much exemplifies the all mountain category...
