Commencalova Meta 5.5.1 opravlja svoje poslanstvo z odliko. Brezkompromisno premaguje izzive, ki se ji postavijo v kolesnico in pri tem se ne obremenjuje s smerjo: obvladuje nabiranje nadmorske višine ter njeno zmanjševanje...

Nazadnje je razkurila Nemce. Ob testu v reviji Mountain Bike so novinarji zapisali (mimogrede, 2008 Metka 5.5.1 je bila okronana z nazivom Best all mountain bike of the year): Sensationally balanced, you can climb up hills, even without the Talas function. The whole suspension set-up is a dream. No point talking about the Fox fork, we know that works, but it is definitely worth mentioning the perfect rear suspension system. It rides naturally, climbs well, reacts with precision over every little flint and if necessary uses just about the whole range of travel without bottoming out.

Meta 5.5.2 je postala kolo leta v Angliji. Model '07 je bil deležen spremnih besed (What Mountain Bike, september): In fact, regardless of price we can't think of many bikes that'll enable you to ride big drops and descents as well as big day rides with as much enthusiasm and enjoyment as the Meta 5.5 manages to deliver.

Američani (Mountain Bike Action) pa so po vožnji z Meto 5.1 (sicer predhodnikom današnje Mete 5.5.1, a z enako mehaniko) prišli do naslednjih stavkov: Commencal Meta 5.1 is proof that Europe is a step ahead of us...
